I thoroughly enjoyed taking Powerful Teaching. I learned real life teaching strategies that I can easily apply and incorporate into my teaching. This course offered proven methods to improve classroom climate and effective leadership skills, as have the other graduate classes I have taken from Educational Resources. I am eager to implement many of the strategies Hal Urban explained in Powerful Teaching.

I thought this class was great! I liked how I could work at my own pace to get things finished. It is great for a working teacher. The assignments weren’t too lengthy, but were packed with information and knowledge. I really liked how practical everything was. The book that was used for this course was phenomenol and I am so glad that I have it in my collection of resources now! I thought this class was very worthwhile and I learned a lot.

The POWERFUL Teaching course I participated in through Educational Resources was very applicable and valuable. I appreciated that I could complete the coursework at my own pace and during my own time. I did not have to attend night, weekend, or summer classes that interfere with my professional and personal schedule. The information presented was completely pertinent to my position as a second grade teacher. I know the classroom management skills I obtained will benefit my classroom. I would definitely recommend this class to colleagues.

Personally, I feel all educators should take this class or at least read the book. It is not like most other courses because it gives you ideas and techniques you can actually put to use in your class. I have two daughters currently teaching and both will get this book or take the class. I would recommend this class to anybody that cares about kids.

20 Things Good Teachers Do, was a perfect choice to create an independent study. I couldn’t stop reading the book because it was so good and informational. It is very important to teach the whole student and Hal Urban’s book shows you how to teach the character part of the student. I can’t wait to start teaching next fall and use all of the great ideas. If you want to change the atmosphere of the class and your students… take this class and read the book.

Outstanding class! The simple format and the Hal Urban book made it one of the best courses I took this summer. I have completed three of the Educational Resources classes and every single one gave me a ton of ideas that I can implement immediately into my teaching. I loved the independent study format and it worked great with my busy schedule. I absolutely recommend it for all beginning and veteran teachers.
